A Sponsorship Program That Invests in Two Generations

JONESINC is a youth-focused nonprofit providing free basketball camps and clinics for children ages 7–11 from New Haven and the greater Connecticut area. Our mission goes beyond the court: we exist to inspire young athletes through sports, academic excellence, and personal growth.

Every camp and clinic includes a structured academic component alongside the basketball, encouraging campers to set meaningful goals and pursue success in the classroom — not just on the scoreboard. We want our campers to look up to our players not only as athletes, but as role models who value education and community.

We also award an annual scholarship to a graduating senior from a New Haven high school, supporting their journey into higher education — extending our impact beyond childhood and into the next generation of leaders we help create.

What Makes Us Different

Our program is unique in that our athletes lead the organization. College student-athletes aren't just coaches — they're responsible for marketing, administration, event planning, and financial and investment decisions for the nonprofit itself, mentored directly by our Board of Directors. Most importantly, they work hand-in-hand with our campers, using basketball as a tool to teach life skills, teamwork, and resilience.

Through this process, both campers and players grow — each learning from the other in a cycle of mentorship, leadership, and shared success.

Sponsors aren't just funding a basketball camp. They're funding leadership futures for young athletes and young leaders alike.

Our Impact, By the Numbers

  • 585 youth campers, ages 7–11, served free of charge each year

  • 7 college student-athletes employed as coaches, mentors, and organizational leaders annually

  • 5 clinics/camps run per year across New Haven and greater Connecticut

  • $10,000 scholarship awarded annually to a graduating New Haven high school senior

  • 3 schools partnering to host clinics, refer campers, or support our academic component

  • 2years of continuous operation in the New Haven community

(Figures to be finalized with current program data.)

Sponsorship at Every Level

We've built partnerships that prove this program resonates at both the local and national level — and we're looking to grow both.

National Partners have shown up in tangible, visible ways: Under Armour has outfitted our campers with athletic shoes, giving kids gear that makes them feel like real athletes. Yale University has provided access to their facilities, giving our clinics a first-class home court.

Community Partners are just as essential to what we do. Local restaurants have fed our campers and coaches. Local elementary and middle schools have opened their gyms and helped us reach the kids who need this program most. These grassroots relationships are what keep the program rooted in the New Haven neighborhoods it serves.

Whether a business can offer a national platform or a local storefront, there's a role to play — in-kind product donations, facility access, meal sponsorship, event sponsorship, academic-program support, scholarship funding, or direct financial support of coaching stipends and free camper enrollment.

Program Structure: Ways to Sponsor

We offer sponsorship at tiers designed to fit organizations of any size, from a single New Haven storefront to a national brand. Every tier is customizable — sponsors are welcome to mix and match cash, in-kind, and facility support.

Champion Partner — National / Flagship Level
  • Recognition as a lead sponsor across all camps, clinics, and marketing materials for the year

  • Logo placement on camper apparel, gear, or equipment (in the spirit of our Under Armour partnership)

  • Opportunity to fund a full cohort of college coaching stipends

  • Feature placement on our website and social media as a season-long partner

Facility & Program Partner
  • Provide practice, game, or event space (in the spirit of our Yale University partnership)

  • Named sponsorship of a specific clinic, camp session, or tournament

  • Recognition at all events held at or supported by the partnership

Community Partner
  • Meal or refreshment sponsorship for camp days and events (in the spirit of our local restaurant partners)

  • In-kind donations of gear, snacks, or supplies

  • School partnerships providing gym space, referrals, or support for our academic component

  • Logo and recognition at community-level events, on our website, and in social media shout-outs

Scholarship Partner
  • Fund all or part of our annual scholarship for a graduating New Haven high school senior

  • Named recognition as the scholarship sponsor, with the opportunity to meet and celebrate the recipient

  • Public recognition at our scholarship announcement and on our website

Coach Sponsor
  • Directly fund a college student-athlete's coaching and leadership stipend for a season

  • Named recognition as that coach's sponsor, with updates on the impact of their mentorship

  • A direct line of sight into how your support builds both a camper's skills and a young leader's career

Every sponsorship, regardless of tier, includes acknowledgment across our website, social channels, and camp communications — and an open invitation to see the program in action on the court.

Why Sponsor Us

A sponsorship with JONESINC is a chance to put your brand behind something rare: a program where the help you give kids and the help you give young adults are the same gift. We keep our camps free so that every child in New Haven has access, regardless of ability to pay — and that access depends on the generosity of our partners.

You're not choosing between investing in youth development, education, or workforce development — you're funding all three, through one program, on one court.

We welcome conversations with businesses of every size — from a neighborhood restaurant to a national brand — who want to see their name, their product, or their support show up in the hands of a kid learning to shoot free throws, in a senior heading off to college, and in a young leader learning to run an organization.

Interested in partnering with us? We'd love to talk about what sponsorship could look like for your organization, at whatever level makes sense for you.
